Fleet Checks As Low As $50/ea
What is the OBD Clean Truck Check? For diesel trucks and RVs with a 2013 engine model year or newer, the old "smoke opacity" test has largely been replaced by an On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) scan. This test checks your vehicle's emissions control computer to ensure all systems are functioning correctly.
Our Process:
Connection: We connect a certified OBD testing device to your vehicle's J1939 or OBDII port.
Scan: The device reads your vehicle's emissions data, checking for active fault codes and ensuring "Readiness Monitors" are set.
Submission: We verify the VIN and instantly submit the data to CARB’s CTC-VIS database.
Common Reasons for Failure:
Active "Check Engine" light.
Permanent diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
OBD monitors that haven't run (common if you just disconnected the battery).
Pre-Test Advice: Ensure your Check Engine light is off before booking. If you recently cleared codes or changed a battery, drive the truck for a few days to reset the monitors!
